Decarbonizing Dairy Farms

Within the context of Dianne’s MSc thesis, we collaborated with Nestlé to identify the most promising levers to decarbonize dairy farms. Based on expert interviews and literature, we developed a model that assesses abatement potential and cost of different abatement options within a farm-specific context. We found that significant emissions reductions were feasible at negative costs. The full results can be found in the industry report “Towards climate positive dairy farms”.
